Prospects Make Sizable Donations to Fred Korey Tribute [read more]
The Prospects program had a special painting of Dominik Hasek created for auction at the Fred Korey tribute. The custom painting
(seen below) was sold for almost $1,000. In addition, over 400 calendars (at a value exceeding $2,000) were donated to the tribute.
These were given to Fred's supporters in attendance. The event was a major testimony to the goodness of the people in WNY. We
were proud to be a big part of it.

Equipment Audits to Start Prospects Season
Front Row Sports will be assisting the Prospects this year by conducting start of season equipment audits. Far too many players are
using unsafe, outdated, improperly sized, or otherwise inferior equipment.
We have developed an equipment audit checklist based on 30+ years of experience in the game. Front Row Sports personnel will be
evaluating each player's equipment from head to toe to stick. Recommendations on equipment changes will be provided to each
player. For your player's safety, we strongly encourage you to heed the advice provided. Please note that improperly outfitted players
(no neck guard, no mouthguard, missing equipment, etc.) will not be permitted to participate until the situation is resolved.
Our own son played one game without a cup and others without an elbow pad, because he did not want to sit out. Please reinforce the
importance of safety on the ice. I also tell my players below Junior A not to be part of the play if they have dropped a glove or another
piece of equipment comes off. They should get off the ice. They are not getting paid, it is not the Stanley Cup, and it is not worth it.

1991 Update
We have obtained ice at the Pepsi Center on Sunday March 12 from 8:00-9:30 pm for our final 1991 evaluation.
Once again, Scott and I apologize for the confusion on 2/20. If you do not want to attend this evaluation, please email us
admin@buffalohockey.org and we will refund your 2/20 ice fee - no questions asked and no hard feelings. If you plan to return and were
there on 2/20, you will not be charged a new ice fee.
We pride ourselves on being organized and efficient, and this rare slip up was our fault.

Couple Updates
98s - Will be divided into two groups. Blue will be our top group and White our second group. To start, we are going to bunch almost all
the West Seneca, Wheatfield, Perinton, and Amherst guys who played AAA 98 last year (unless you were told otherwise). All of them
showed very well at tryouts. We will sprinkle in a few other strong players into the blue group. We will also offer some players the
chance to move up after we have had another look or two at them. John Hannon will be coaching both teams with separate coaching
staffs for each group.
97s - Maxed out so we are going to form a combined 96 and 97 development team to handle everyone who wants to be part of the
program. They will be referred to as the 97 White team. They will get excellent development and will attend level-appropriate
tournaments. We are looking for a set of coaches to handle this 97 White team. Email us to hold a spot on this team and/or indicate an
interest in coaching the 97 White team.
96s - Maxed out so we are going to form a combined 96 and 97 development team to handle everyone who wants to be part of the
program. They will be referred to as the 97 White team. They will get excellent development and will attend level-appropriate
tournaments. We are looking for a set of coaches to handle this 97 White team. Email us to hold a spot on this team and/or indicate an
interest in coaching the 97 White team.
95s - Maxed out
94s - Maxed out

U12 - Still have a few spots
U14 - Maxed out
U16 - Close to maxing out
All program fees (total $375) should be paid in full by March 10.
Coaches are in the process of selecting their tournaments and we'll get this posted as it comes in.
Also will be posting rosters soon.
Full schedules for U12 girls, U14 girls, and 97 White team are being finalized by the end of the week.
Thank you for your patience as we plow through a lot of paperwork. Everything is running smoothly, it just requires a ton of organization.
