Public Service Announcements If you have an announcement that would be of interest to or affect the Buffalo Prospects hockey family, feel free to send it along. We'd love to hear about fund raisers for hockey players or families, charity activities, tournament championships, educational opportunities, etc. We'd also like to try to keep tabs on the players who have advanced into the Prep, Junior (A, B, C), and college ranks - and we'll need your help on this. Provided it is not divisive, we'll more or less put it out to the Prospects community unedited. Information, whether we agree or disagree on it, helps all of us draw our own conclusions and make better informed decisions. 4. Announcement Jerry Shorthouse, a Prospects coach, supporter, and advisor has asked us to forward the following public service announcement: Buffalo-Niagara Sports, L.L.C. is proposing to develop a family sports complex on Clinton Street in the Town of West Seneca, New York. The complex will consist of four ice rinks, a main sports arena with seating for 5,000 persons, and an indoor golf facility. As a parent involved in youth hockey you are no doubt aware there is a shortage of ice time. I'm sure that your organization, your team and your child has felt the effect of limited ice availability. This facility will help to address this situation and we would like to let you know more about it. We cordially request that you and your family join us at a public meeting to introduce this project on Thursday, August 26, 2004 at 7:00 PM at West Seneca High West High School, 3330 Seneca Street in West Seneca. As a show of support, we would like your sons/daughters to wear their team jerseys to the meeting. Your attendance and your support will help us make this exciting project a reality. We hope to see you there. |
